The Pius - Hospital in Oldenburg

Since its establishment in 1871, the Pius Catholic hospital for acute medicine in Oldenburg has become widely known well beyond its regional boundaries. Here,
almost 1000 employees look after patients` health day in and day out – applying the
highest standards of care in the process. With a capacity of 396 beds in 13 specialist and intensive care wards, the Pius is the largest Catholic hospital in northwest Germany.

The future demands new architectural concepts designed for the benefit of the "modern patient". And now, in a refurbishment project, the professionals responsible have provided precisely the advanced solutions required. By incorporating the Varitrans Metalline sliding glass partition from DORMA Hüppe and products from the DORMA Door Control range, they have created an architectural masterpiece in the form of an entrance area that truly sets new standards in serenity.
The light-flooded foyer has been designed on the basis of modified Feng Shui principles, following the ancient Chinese approach to the creation of a conducive and harmonious living space. Warm and sunny tones in the area further enhance this effect.
